王岳军,1969年8月生、构造地质学、岩石大地构造和岩石地球化学研究方向。

1991年1994年在中国地质大学(武汉)获地球化学学士和硕士学位,1998年在中国科学院长沙大地构造研究所获构造地质学博士学位,1994-2001年在中国科学院长沙大地构造研究所任助研、副研;2002-2013年在中国科学院广州地球化学研究所任研究员,2014年入职中山大学。

教育部长江学者特聘教授(2014)、科技部中青年科技创新领军人才(2015)、国家杰出青年基金(2008),新世纪百千万人才工程国家级人选(2009)、中国科学院百人计划(2013)、陕西省百人计划(短期, 2012);国务院政府特殊津贴(2012)、Sino-British Fellowship Trust Visitorship (2010);中国矿物岩石地球化学学会侯德封青年科学家奖(2006)和中国地质学会青年地质科技银锤奖(2006)。

“Precambrian Research”等刊物编委、现主要从事华南及邻区地质构造及其动力学机制研究, 发表论文近150篇,是ESI全球地球科学领域高引用学者。
