Brief Introduction

Dr. Cong Chen is an associate professor in the School of Earth Sciences and Engineering at Sun Yat-sen University. He received his bachelor and Ph.D. degrees from Sun Yat-sen University in 2012 and 2020, respectively. From 2021 to 2025, he conducted postdoctoral research at Sun Yat-sen University. His research interest focuses on understanding the natural- and anthropogenic-driven changes in vegetation ecosystems and reconstructing past mega-flood records in subtropical and tropical East Asia during the Quaternary period.
