Brief Introduction
Dr. Fang received his bachelor’s degree in applied geophysics from Jilin University in 2012. He earned his Ph.D. degree in geophysics from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 2017. He then joined Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) as a postdoctoral researcher. In Jan. 2021, he joined the Department of Earth Science and Engineering at Sun Yet-sen university as an Associate Professor. Dr. Fang’s main research interests include seismic imaging of Earth’s interior and earthquake source characterization. He has published about 20 papers in international journals, such as GRL, JGR, GJI, SRL, etc with more than 1600 citations according to Google Scholar. He is on the Editor Board of “Earthquake Science” journal and has been a reviewer for many Earth Science journals.
