Brief Introduction

CHEN Binghui, born in November 1964 in Xianyou, Fujian Province, ph.D., professor, doctoral supervisor. Research Interests: Resources and Environment, Epigenetic Geochemistry, Gemmology. 
After graduating from Sun Yat-sen University in 1987 with a master's degree, he stayed on to teach and research in mineral deposits, geochemistry and gemmology, and was awarded the Gemmological Qualification Certificate (FGA) by the British Gemmological Association in January 1996. He was selected as a master supervisor in 1996 and as a doctoral supervisor in 2006. He was also the deputy director of the Department of Earth Sciences of Sun Yat-sen University from 2002 to 2007. He once served as the secretary general of the Youth Working Committee of the Geological Society of Guangdong Province, a member of the Youth Working Committee of the Chinese Society of Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry, and a standing director of the Guangdong Gem and Jade Jewelry Industry Association. He is also a member of the Surface and Biological geochemistry Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Mineralogy, Petrology and Geochemistry, an editorial board member of the Journal of Gems and Gemmology, the deputy director of the Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Geological Processes and Mineral Resources Survey, the deputy director of the Research Center for The Earth Environment and Earth Resources of Sun Yat-sen University, the vice chairman of the Branch of Sun Yat-sen University of the China Democratic National Construction Association, and the review expert of Hydrological, Engineering and Environmental Geology Project and the Mineral Geology Project Review Expert Database of Guangdong Provincial Land and Resources System.
