Brief Introduction
Aim to multi-scale and multi-physical geodynamics.
New techniques/methods developed: 1) new methods and programming for microtomography characterization and digital rock physics; 2) upscaling analysis based on the percolation theory; 3) numerical method of viscous flow of arbitrary Lagrangian-Eulerian finite element method combined with marker-in-cell technique; 4) the triple damage model integrating mechanical damage and partial melting damage for lithospheric deformation.
Applications: 1) rock physics and their relationships with microstructures of different rock types; 2) the distribution and evolution of stress field of reservoirs or regions; 3) mantle convection and orogenic dynamics; 4) multi-scale cracks and dynamic processes.
Current research interests: 1) dynamic CT observation of rock deformation and numerical simulations of damage processes; 2) thermal-hydro-mechanical-chemical process at mineral scale based on microtomography of rocks; 3) numerical modeling of geodynamic problems involving fluid flow and chemical reactions.
