Brief Introduction
Professor Qian is devoted to the research of metamorphic petrology, orogenic evolution and Precambrian geology. He mainly uses the methods of petrology, mineralogy, phase equilibrium modelling, geochemistry and isotope geochronology to explore the genetic mechanism and metamorphic history of metamorphic rocks, the formation and evolution of orogenic belts and the assembly and breakup of ancient continents. His present research interests include metamorphism and tectonic evolution of the North China Craton, tectonic evolution of the South China Block and the tectonic style of the early earth.
